Metric DCX is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead internal and external project teams through preconstruction on several projects. The role emphasizes structured process, budget control, and proactive delivery.

Ideal candidates bring a four-year degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture and 8+ years of vertical commercial-building estimating experience. Proficiency with Takeoff, iSqft, Bluebeam, and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Eight plus years of vertical commercial building estimating experience.
• Proficiency in bid preparation, quantity surveys, sub-trade procurement, pricing, and bid closing.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects through preconstruction.
• Keep preconstruction organized; resolve items, maintain schedules, review budgets.
• Present progress to teams; surface challenges and offer solutions.
• Develop conceptual cost models for early planning with owners/architects.
• Prepare preliminary estimates and monitor design-development cost trends.
