MCN Build in Washington, DC is seeking a Preconstruction Manager with 8 years of estimating experience in mechanical construction. The role leads preconstruction activities, manages project financials and client relations, and coordinates with the Project Executive to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and strong analytical, communication, and collaborative skills. A competitive salary with benefits is offered in a flexible hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field.
• 8 years of estimating experience with a concentration in mechanical construction projects.
• Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions and trade practices.
• Excellent oral and written skills required.

Responsabilités

• Lead for the preconstruction work acquisition process including management, coordination, and delivery of the preconstruction phases.
• Produce progress estimates at design milestones and evaluate material and system costs.
• Review document progress, coordination, and maintain subcontractor/vendor relationships.
• Conduct detailed take-offs and estimating, define bid package scopes, and oversee subcontractor bidding.
