Job summary

Metric DCX is seeking experienced Construction Project Managers to oversee complex mechanical construction projects. This hands-on, field-focused role requires visiting sites, coordinating with project teams, and guiding projects from planning through completion on-site in Virginia.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial or industrial construction project management experience.
• Experience managing mechanical construction projects within mechanical contracts.
• Experience coordinating labor and materials for year-long+ projects.
• Recent PM experience with a mechanical contractor or subcontractor.
• OSHA 30-hour certification and OSHA safety knowledge.
• Proficient with laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Teams.
• Strong communication and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to work within detailed standards and evaluate technical information.
• Strong problem-solving and business judgment for project challenges.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage equipment, material, and subcontractor estimates.
• Provide direction to project personnel and coordinate workers.
• Inspect progress and installations for compliance with specs.
• Interpret blueprints and job orders to support installation activities.
• Set and adjust work sequences to meet schedules and resources.
• Manage financial performance of assigned projects.
• Coordinate with leadership on scheduling, productivity, and quality.
• Maintain coordination of labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
