Job summary

RMCI, a Nox Group company, seeks a Preconstruction Manager to lead design development, cost modeling, and early-phase planning for large data center projects. You will coordinate with owners, designers, and suppliers, guiding cost and schedule risk assessments and GMP discussions.

The role requires strong leadership, mentoring abilities, and deep experience in industrial construction, CMAR/Design-Build processes, and advanced estimating tools within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or design management within industrial construction or mission critical facilities.
• Strong understanding of estimating principles, design development, and alternative delivery methods (CMAR, Design‑Build, Design‑Assist).
• Skilled in conceptual estimating, cost modeling, and reviewing plans/specifications for scope gaps and risks.
• Strong communication and client‑facing presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design Management & Technical Coordination: manage design-phase communication between RMCI, owners, and design partners.
• Align preconstruction strategy with estimating to ensure pricing consistency and scope clarity.
• Review plans, specs, and addenda to identify scope gaps, risks, and pricing impacts.
• Support subcontractor outreach, prequalification, and pricing strategy with Estimating Team.
• Lead turnover meetings and ensure assumptions, risks, and cost models are clearly communicated.
