Job summary

Renewyx is seeking a Preconstruction Manager for its Houston operation. This newly created role offers genuine scope for growth across oil and gas manufacturing, industrial, big box retail, and high rise commercial work.

You will lead preconstruction from budgeting through GMP, own estimating strategy and buyout planning, and shape how the function is organized, with a path to Director within about two years.

Qualifications

• Preconstruction or senior estimating experience across commercial or industrial project types, including oil and gas, manufacturing, retail, or high rise.
• Demonstrated ability to run preconstruction end to end, from early budgeting through GMP development and buyout strategy
• A leadership orientation and genuine interest in progressing toward a Director level role

Renewyx have partnered with a growing general contractor to bring on a Preconstruction Manager for their Houston operation. This is a newly created role with genuine scope for growth. The remit spans oil and gas manufacturing, industrial, big box retail, and high rise commercial work. Performed well, the position carries a defined path toward a Director level seat within approximately two years.

The role:

You will lead preconstruction across a broad and varied project mix, partnering closely with ownership and design teams from initial budgeting through GMP. The role carries ownership of estimating strategy, buyout planning, and cost control, and as scope grows, an increasing role in shaping how the group's preconstruction function is structured.

What you'll bring:

• Preconstruction or senior estimating experience across commercial or industrial project types, including oil and gas, manufacturing, retail, or high rise.
• Demonstrated ability to run preconstruction end to end, from early budgeting through GMP development and buyout strategy
• A leadership orientation and genuine interest in progressing toward a Director level role

Nice to have (bonus, not required):

• Direct project experience within oil and gas or heavy manufacturing facilities
• Exposure across more than one of the target verticals
• Prior experience mentoring or informally leading estimating staff
