Job summary

Michels Corporation, through Michels Preconstruction Services, Inc., is seeking a Preconstruction Manager for heavy civil construction in Reston, VA. The role focuses on leading all lifecycle phases of collaborative delivery projects and coordinating with internal teams and external clients to drive successful outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have a construction management or civil engineering degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, strong communication, and proven leadership in design-build

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, 6+ years of construction management experience or equivalent.
• Experience in heavy civil construction incl. underground utilities, foundations, mass and finish grading.
• Experience with alternative delivery projects (design-build, EPC) and strong client management.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and management for all phases of alternative/collaborative delivery projects.
• Involve in business development, teaming, pursuits & proposals, and contract and design management.
• Exhibit leadership, clear communication, and the ability to multitask across internal and external teams.
