Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead and coordinate preconstruction activities for utility-scale wind, solar, and storage projects. You will oversee engineering, permitting, interconnection, and scope development to ensure projects are fully designed and de-risked for an efficient start to construction.

You will manage internal and external engineering teams, drive schedule control, and optimize costs while integrating O&M requirements into contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Renewable Energy construction, engineering, and project management.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive preconstruction project readiness by coordinating engineering, permitting, procurement, and O&M inputs.
• Manage engineering scope, deliverables, and timelines with internal teams and external engineers.
• Coordinate survey execution and site data collection.
• Ensure timely completion of construction drawings and milestones.
• Lead cost optimization and LCOE improvement efforts.
• Support site layout optimization and permitting strategies.
• Facilitate acquisition of utility crossing agreements and permits.
• Prepare and coordinate interconnection plans and schedules.
• Integrate O&M requirements into project scope and contracts.
• Assemble and validate scopes of work for bidding.
• Enable procurement and contractor engagement and de-risk projects before construction mobilization.
