Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Sr. Preconstruction Manager in Austin, TX for full-time, permanent employment.

The role leads preconstruction activities for wind, solar and storage projects, coordinating engineering, permitting, interconnection, and scope development to ensure designs are de-risked and contract-ready for smooth construction. The position requires a BS in Engineering and 7+ years in renewable energy construction, engineering, and project management, with PMP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Renewable Energy construction, engineering, and project management.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage customer relationships.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Teams; able to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction readiness for renewable energy projects with cross-functional teams.
• Manage engineering deliverables and timelines with internal and external engineers.
• Oversee surveys to support design decisions and data accuracy.
• Drive site layout optimization balancing constructability and cost.
• Develop and execute civil permitting strategies to secure needed permits.
• Coordinate interconnection planning and scheduling with multiple stakeholders.
• Integrate O&M requirements into project scope and contracts.
