Job summary

Brinkmann Constructors is seeking a The Preconstruction Manager to lead preconstruction services for assigned estimates and bids in the Sarasota, FL area. You will prepare estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, develop unit costs and assemble proposals for conceptual and hard-dollar projects, coordinating with owners, architects and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, architectural or construction) or related field.
• 3–5 years of estimating and bidding experience in commercial construction.
• Proven ability to lead estimates and bids up to $25M.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; PlanSwift, iSqft, Bluebeam preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction services for assigned estimates and bids.
• Prepare estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, and develop unit costs.
• Solicit and negotiate prices from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare proposal information for clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with owners, architects and engineers during preconstruction.
• Manage bid day activities and ensure coverage from subs.
• Conduct bid analyses and value engineering opportunities.
• Oversee internal team to prepare accurate budgets and schedules.
