Job summary

Miller Construction is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead all preconstruction activities in Florida. You will drive budgeting, cost planning, design coordination, and procurement to position projects for successful execution.

The role requires coordinating with owners, architects, and consultants, managing PSAs, and ensuring alignment with budget, schedule, and constructability. Strong leadership and Procore experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or construction management.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimating.
• Experience with Procore or similar project management tools preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop budgets and GMP estimates; perform quantity take-offs; present to clients.
• Set up projects; review drawings; develop subcontractor bid scopes; coordinate ITBs.
• Manage RFIs, document revisions, and bid/proposal tracking from budget to final estimate.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, and consultants; manage PSAs; lead meetings; align with budget and schedule.
• Oversee permitting, applications, and permit logs with municipalities.
• Support procurement activities and owner contracts negotiations as needed.
• Manage preconstruction financials including budgets, forecasting, and design‑build billings.
• Lead and mentor team members; recruit and develop staff.
• Develop and maintain preconstruction schedules; track deadlines; transition to construction.
• Build client and trade partner relationships; contribute to proposals and BD.
