Actalent is seeking an Estimator to join a growing preconstruction team in St. Louis, MO. You will develop detailed estimates for self-perform and subcontracted work, evaluating labor, equipment, materials, and production rates across commercial, industrial, civil, and self-perform projects.

You will closely collaborate with field operations, project managers, and vendors to validate assumptions and refine cost estimates. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent construction experience is valued.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in CM, Civil Eng, or related field preferred.
• Experience in heavy civil/self-perform work is beneficial.
• Experience in commercial/industrial projects is an advantage.
• Strong reading of plans, specs and scope packages.

Responsabilidades

• Develop complete estimates for self-perform and subcontracted work.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for concrete, earthwork, civil, and sitework.
• Plan labor/equipment needs and crew composition.
• Translate means/methods into cost and schedule assumptions.
• Review plans and specs to ensure scope coverage and accuracy.
• Use Bluebeam Revu for drawings review and takeoffs.
• Build and maintain estimates in HCSS HeavyBid.
• Use AGTEK for earthwork/sitework takeoffs.
• Identify scope gaps and risks; communicate to team.
• Collaborate with field ops, PMs, and leadership to refine estimates.
• Support preconstruction discussions for $2M–$25M projects.
