Job summary

CRP Group is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its St. Louis team. The role supports the Preconstruction Manager by developing detailed estimates for heavy industrial, municipal and civil projects, with a focus on self-perform construction.

Responsibilities include takeoffs, bid analysis, subcontractor coordination, and identifying cost-saving opportunities to shape project delivery. Based in the St. Louis area, you will contribute to bid-ready packages and client conversations.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of estimating experience in heavy industrial, civil or commercial construction.
• Good understanding of self-perform construction methods, subcontractor scopes and construction pricing.
• Degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Currently based in the St. Louis metro area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates covering self-perform labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors and general conditions.
• Complete quantity takeoffs and review drawings, specifications and bid documents.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor bids and supplier quotations, checking scope coverage, inclusions and exclusions.
• Assess construction methods, production rates, project schedules and potential risks.
• Attend site visits and work with clients, engineers and project teams to clarify requirements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain strong subcontractor and supplier relationships.
