Job summary

Trueline, a rapidly growing commercial general contractor in Shreveport, LA, seeks an Estimator/Project Coordinator to support preconstruction, evaluation, estimating, scope development, subcontractor coordination, proposal prep and project setup.

The role bridges estimating, operations, project management and field teams to plan projects, maintain records, coordinate with vendors and ensure successful execution; requires 2+ years of relevant experience and proficiency with MS Office and takeoff

Qualifications

• 2+ years in construction estimating or preconstruction.
• Degree in Construction Management or similar field.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented and coachable.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost estimating from plans and specs.
• Conduct pre-bid site visits and existing condition assessments.
• Develop project scopes of work.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Coordinate subcontractor walkthroughs and bid meetings.
• Prepare accurate and competitive project proposals.
• Assist in project budgeting and value engineering efforts.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Prepare and organize project plans and preconstruction documentation.
• Develop and maintain project records and documentation systems.
• Submittal preparation and product sample coordination.
• Coordinate with operations and project management teams during turnover.
• Support field personnel with project information and documentation.
• Assist with project planning and scheduling activities.
• Participate in internal project review meetings.
• Maintain organized project files and communication records.
