Job summary

The Beck Group is seeking a Preconstruction Analytics Engineer to join an extraordinary project team. This role emphasizes preconstruction analytics and data modeling to provide reliable, historical cost insights using data sources and Power BI.

Responsibilities include gathering historical cost data, producing reports, monitoring data quality, and enhancing CMiC data understanding. You will learn DAX/Power Query and support DESTINI Estimator and Beck Excel Bid Tab.

Qualifications

Willingness to learn and be mentored under Senior Preconstruction Managers.
Comprehensive understanding of building construction.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Interest in IPD and collaborating with design team to innovate processes.

Responsibilities

Gather, prepare, and load historical cost data from internal and external sources.
Produce reports and insights from gathered data.
Monitor and assist with estimate data quality and metadata health checks.
Develop understanding of CMiC data (projects, job cost, subcontracts, vendors, departments).
Gather and review economic data for escalation analysis.
Update Beck Cost Index and assist with quarterly projections.
Produce escalation reports for specified date ranges and locations.
Contribute to Beck Cost Report by preparing comparisons and updating workbooks.
Learn basics of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling for Power BI; use dashboards for insights.
