Job summary

The Beck Group is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Engineer to join a dedicated project team in Dallas. You will support the team leader on preconstruction duties and lead scopes of work from $0M to $5M in size, delivering cost estimates, drawings, models, and other documents.

You will use DESTINI Estimator, Revit, BIM360, Procore, and Power BI to prepare detailed estimates and collaborate with subcontractors and vendors while mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant construction and/or preconstruction experience.
• College degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with DESTINI Profiler/Estimator is a plus.
• Willingness to grow technical competencies; proficiency in DESTINI Estimator; BIM360 for model-based estimating.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Procore, Revit, and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate quantity takeoffs and initial pricing.
• Independently estimate interior, envelope, site, and structure scopes with minimal direction.
• Organize and develop an estimate using UniFormat, MasterFormat, and bid tabulation.
• Develop and maintain project documents in a structured manner.
• Lead bid day processes with accuracy and reliability.
• Interact professionally with subcontractors and vendors.
• Supervise and mentor Preconstruction Engineers and Interns.
• Deliver preconstruction content including cost estimates and graphics.
