Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Preconstruction Analytics Engineer to support the organization with reliable, timely, and fact‑based historical project cost information.

Responsibilities

• Gather, prepare, and load historical cost data from internal and external sources.
• Produce reports and insights from gathered data.
• Monitor and assist with estimate data quality, including metadata health checks, line‑item reviews, and coaching team members on proper data standards.
• Develop a foundational understanding of CMiC accounting system data (projects, job cost, subcontracts, vendors, departments, and changes).
• Gather and review economic data for escalation analysis.
• Update the Beck Cost Index and assist with quarterly projection updates.
• Produce escalation reports for specific date ranges and locations.
• Contribute to the bi‑annual Beck Cost Report by preparing comparisons, updating workbooks, and incorporating internal feedback.
• Learn basics of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling for Power BI.
• Use Precon Analytics dashboards to provide insights or as tools for tasks.
• Complete DESTINI Estimator training and support best practices and data quality in DESTINI Estimator.
• Support and develop functionality in Beck’s Excel Bid Tab.
