Job summary

Boeing Distribution, Inc. in Indiana is seeking an Associate Wheel and Brake Overhaul Technician to manage the end-to-end overhaul of critical landing gear components.

Working within a certified FAA Part 145 Repair Station, you will ensure wheel and brake assemblies meet airworthiness standards before return to service. The role requires precision, mechanical aptitude, and strict adherence to data and documentation.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blue print drawings CMMs, IPCs, and service bulletins.
• 3+ years experienced in using hand tools, torque wrenches, hydraulic presses, and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Precision-driven work requires manual dexterity and keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble complex wheel and brake units, including removal of tires, bearings, and hydraulic components; clean and grit blast parts.
• Perform repairs, modifications, and overhauls on carbon and steel brake assemblies and wheel hubs per CMMs.
• Reassemble components with proper torque and balance; conduct functional and pressure testing for hydraulic integrity.
• Complete maintenance records, work orders, and FAA documentation in line with RSM and QCM.
• Work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, vibrations, and hazardous materials.
