Job summary

Acloché LLC seeks a Welding Engineer in Buffalo to own welding processes for precision components and assemblies. You will develop repeatable joining methods, resolve production challenges, and partner with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve weld integrity and productivity.

The role requires hands-on experience in welding process development, knowledge of welding metallurgy, and the ability to analyze technical problems and communicate corrective actions effectively.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing and troubleshooting welding processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of welding metallurgy, engineering drawings, weld symbols, inspection methods and process documentation.
• Ability to analyze technical problems and communicate corrective actions with production teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and optimize welding procedures and fixturing for new and existing products.
• Evaluate materials and joint designs to establish reliable production processes.
• Support qualification activities and maintain technical records per customer/industry requirements.
• Investigate weld defects and implement corrective actions with manufacturing and quality teams.
• Plan welding trials and support inspection, testing, and process transfer to production.
• Train production personnel on approved methods and write work instructions and controls.
