Job summary

A leading client of Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a Welding Engineer to take technical ownership of welding processes across precision components. You will develop repeatable joining methods, resolve production challenges, and partner with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve weld integrity, productivity, and product performance.

You will design and optimize welding procedures, analyze materials and joint designs, and lead qualification activities, while training production

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Hands-on experience developing and troubleshooting welding processes in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of welding metallurgy, engineering drawings, weld symbols, inspection methods, and process documentation.

Responsibilities

Own and optimize welding procedures, parameters, joints, tooling, and fixturing for new and existing products.
Evaluate materials and designs to ensure reliable production processes and weld integrity.
Support qualification activities and maintain technical records for customer and industry requirements.
Investigate weld defects and process variations; lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with design to improve manufacturability and access to joints.
Plan welding trials and support inspection, testing, and process validation.
