Responsibilities include setting up tools, reading blueprints, inspecting work, and collaborating to ensure accurate fabrication. The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of industrial fabrication welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and job specifications.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with welding tools.
• High School diploma or GED required; vocational training preferred.
• Careful attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
• Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing work conditions and tasks.
• Capable of working independently.
• Must pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Demonstrated reliable work history.
• Must be detail-oriented with precision and quality.

Responsibilities

• Welding Operations: Set up and operate hand and power tools for welding.
• Safety Practices: Use safety equipment and maintain a safe work area.
• Preparation and Assembly: Lay out, position, align, and secure parts before welding.
• Inspection and Measurement: Inspect workpieces and measure to specs.
• Material Handling: Weld with various materials and clean surfaces.
• Tool and Equipment Selection: Install torches, tips, filler rods, and flux.
• Process Monitoring: Monitor welding to prevent overheating or distortion.
• Technical Reading: Read drawings, blueprints, specs, and MSDS.
• Marking and Tagging: Mark materials with job numbers and identifiers.
• Maintenance and Repair: Detect faulty equipment and repair parts.
• Fabrication: Fabricate products to match specs for material thickness, width, length.
• Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks to support production goals.
