Kloeckner in Manchester, CT is seeking a Welder to join our fabrication team. You will set up and operate welding tools, weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions, and ensure production orders are completed accurately and on schedule.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, selecting appropriate torches and filler rods, inspecting welds, and adhering to safety protocols. A minimum of 1 year welding experience is required, with a strong focus on quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of industrial fabrication welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications.
• High School diploma or GED; vocational training preferred.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Reliable and detail-oriented with strong safety focus.
• Able to pass a physical examination.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate welding tools to weld components.
• Follow safety practices to maintain a safe work environment.
• Prepare and assemble parts before welding using measuring tools.
• Inspect and measure workpieces to ensure specifications.
• Weld with various metals (aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron).
• Select torches, tips, filler rods, and flux per specs.
• Monitor welding processes to prevent overheating or distortion.
• Read engineering drawings to plan welding operations.
• Mark materials with identifiers as required.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed.
