Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of experience operating a CNC waterjet, laser, or plasma cutting system preferred; OMAX experience is a strong plus.
• Experience operating horizontal and/or vertical band saws in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape, squares) and shop math.
• Basic computer skills; ERP or shop-floor system experience preferred.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred (certification provided as required).
• Strong attention to detail, ownership of quality, and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to communicate problems clearly and early.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run the OMAX waterjet; load and select the correct program/nest, set material type and thickness, establish origin, and verify cut quality.
• Monitor abrasive supply and flow, nozzle/orifice condition, pump pressure, and tank water level; perform daily PM and log results.
• Cut material to length on the saws per work orders and cut lists; select blade, speed, and feed; manage remnants.
