Job summary

RL Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Waterjet Operator to set up, program, and operate abrasive waterjet equipment in a custom manufacturing environment in Fairfield, Ohio.

The role supports one-off and repeat production for customers in the chemical, semiconductor, and defense industries, with focus on safety and quality. You will work with FlowXpert Infinity and FlowPath on 5-axis systems, review drawings and travelers, select parameters, nest parts, monitor performance, and document

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with CNC waterjet, laser, plasma, router, or similar fabrication equipment preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and perform basic dimensional calculations.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a Flow 5-axis abrasive waterjet system, including material loading, fixturing, and unloading.
• Program and verify cut files using FlowXpert Infinity and FlowPath.
• Review travelers, drawings, DXF files, and specs before cutting to ensure accuracy.
• Optimize cut parameters, abrasives, tooling, and nozzle choices for each job.
• Nest parts to maximize material utilization and production efficiency.
• Monitor and adjust cutting to maintain dimensions and edge quality.
• Inspect finished parts with tape measures and micrometers; document results.
