Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Safety Valve / Assembly Technician to assemble, repair, test, and validate pressure relief valves and control valves. The role collaborates with operations, quality, engineering, and service teams to ensure products meet customer requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities include precision assembly, calibration, lapping, and testing, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and documented testing records in a workshop/service environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in valve assembly, repair, testing, or related mechanical service environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments and calibration tools.
• Safe operation of shop equipment and cranes.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complex valve components and assemblies per drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Perform functional, pressure, and performance testing on PRVs, Safety, and Control Valves.
• Calibrate and set up tools, maintain assembly equipment, and perform precision torquing.
• Read blueprints and specifications, troubleshoot issues, and document inspections.
