Job summary

SPS Companies, Inc. is seeking a Fabrication Operator to work in our Florida job shop, using saws, swagers, bending machines and drills to fabricate parts to customer specifications. The role demands precise craftsmanship, adherence to safety and ISO 9001:2015 quality procedures, and the ability to read tape measures.

The successful candidate will maintain a clean work area, record production data, participate in safety meetings, and provide cross-training as needed to support team goals.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret tape measures and fabrication equipment instructions.
• Comply with OSHA guidelines and safety policies.
• Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 quality procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Teamwork and cross-training ability.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication equipment in a job shop atmosphere
• Record accurate information for production orders
• Keep work area clean throughout the day
• Report any quality-related problems to the Supervisor for resolution
• Provide cross training to others and be cross trained elsewhere as needed
• Attend all scheduled company & safety meetings
• Follow and enforce company safety policies and safe work practices at all times
• Demonstrates teamwork and cooperation with other employees and supervisors
• Report any equipment problems to the Supervisor for immediate repair or schedule for repair
