Job summary

You will work from blueprints, verify dimensions, and collaborate with shop personnel to meet production goals. Candidates should have CAD/CAM experience, English fluency, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• CAD and CAM experience.
• Ability to add and subtract five-digit numbers.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions.
• Proficient with MS Office and ERP software.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds; tight tolerance work +/- 0.0002 inch.
• Knowledge of cutting tool technology.

Responsibilities

• Run and set up CNC milling machines and tool room equipment.
• Program with Gibbs CAM, Part Maker, and SolidWorks.
• Analyze specs, lay out stock, set up and operate tools, file and grind for fit.
• Build and repair molds, jigs, fixtures, gauges.
• Plan operations from blueprints and sketches for tooling fabrication.
• Interrogate solid models and detailed prints for compliance.
• Maintain tight tolerances and workmanship quality.
• Decide station and timing to optimize tool usage.
• Compute dimensions, speeds, and feed rates.
• Collect data and maintain records; learn mold-building techniques.
• Communicate clearly with shop personnel; manage time efficiently.
