Qualifications

• Journeyman Toolmaker certification or equivalent experience.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience with manual and CNC machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs).
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application.
• Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM).
• Experience with tool steels, carbides, and engineered plastics.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, alter, and repair a wide variety of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up and operate lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs.
• Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot and resolve tooling performance issues.
• Maintain and repair existing tooling for optimal manufacturing efficiency.
• Select materials and heat treatments for tooling applications.
