Qualifications

Completion of a Tool & Die Maker Apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
Interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings.
Experience operating manual and CNC machine tools (lathe, mill, grinder, EDM).
Strong GD&T knowledge and application.
Proficient with precision measuring instruments.
Ability to perform complex tooling calculations.

Responsibilities

Fabricate, alter, and repair a wide variety of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines.
Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with tooling performance and accuracy.
Select appropriate materials and heat treatments for tool longevity and function.
Maintain and calibrate shop equipment to ensure accuracy and safe operation.
