Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent
• Completion of an apprenticeship as Tool Maker or equivalent experience is preferred
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings is essential
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and materials
• Ability to operate and program manual and CNC machinery
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, alter, and repair tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances
• Operate conventional and CNC machinery (lathes, mills, grinders, EDM)
• Perform precision measurements using inspection tools for conformity
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize tooling processes
• Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot tooling to minimize downtime
