The Pivot Group Network is partnering with Cadillac-area manufacturers to place a skilled Tool Maker. You will interpret blueprints, fabricate and repair dies, and operate precision machine tools to produce high-quality tooling solutions.

Qualifications

Completion of a certified Tool & Die Maker apprenticeship program.
5+ years of experience in precision machining (milling, turning, grinding, EDM).
Able to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Strong GD&T understanding and application.
Experience operating and programming CNC machinery.

Responsibilities

Interprets blueprints and engineering drawings to plan machining operations.
Fabricates, modifies, and repairs complex tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
Operates lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs with precision.
Performs bench work including fitting, filing, and polishing.
Conducts quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
Troubleshoots tool performance and design issues.
Collaborates with design engineers and production teams to optimize tool functionality.
