Qualifications

• Journeyman Toolmaker certification or equivalent apprenticeship is required.
• Proficiency reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience operating manual and CNC machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs).
• Experience with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex tooling and dies.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Fabricate, repair, and modify dies, molds, and gauges.
• Perform precision measurements using inspection tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with tooling and production equipment.
• Maintain and repair existing tooling to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to develop tooling solutions.
