Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks a Maintenance Tool and Die Technician to make, repair, and diagnose dies, punches, and other tooling/parts. You will collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize work and support internal customers' needs with precise tooling.

You’ll sustain tooling, perform preventative maintenance, and interpret drawings to build parts. Strong problem solving and teamwork are essential for success in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Five years of tool and die shop experience
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures

Responsibilities

• The Maintenance Tool and Die Tech is responsible for making, repairing, and diagnosing dies, punches, and other tooling/parts.
• Work with team to assess priorities and execute work to support internal customers’ needs.
• Maintain tooling and participate in Preventative Maintenance for dies, punches, and other precision tasks.
• Interpret drawings and build parts based on provided information.
• Prioritize work using CMMS work orders and direct assignments.
• Support lean manufacturing and 5S activities.
• Communicate issues to the Production Supervisor and collaborate with technicians and engineers.
