Job summary

TriMas Packaging LLC is seeking a Tool & Die Technician for on-site work in Auburn, IN. The role involves building, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting crimping tools, dies, gauges, and other tooling used in manufacturing.

Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and the tool room to meet customer specifications and production needs. Responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings, working from CAD models, inspecting tooling with precision instruments, and ensuring

Qualifications

• Experience in tool and die or precision machining.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of machining and metalworking processes.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to multitask to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, modify, maintain, and repair dies and tooling.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and specifications.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and identify root causes.
• Inspect tooling with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators.
• Maintain records of repairs and maintenance.
• Communicate tooling status and solutions to customers.
• Travel to customer facilities to diagnose issues and repair tooling.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
