Job summary

Beckett Air, Incorporated seeks a skilled Tool & Die Maker to fabricate and maintain precision tooling, dies, molds, jigs, gauges, and fixtures for production. You will interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to ensure tooling meets specs and performs reliably, while safely managing large dies with lifting equipment.

The role requires apprenticeship or equivalent experience and a preference for candidates with CAD/CAM software knowledge and CNC programming capabilities.

Qualifications

• Completion of Tool and Die Apprenticeship program or equivalent experience required.
• 5 years’ experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of metal properties, machining processes, and heat treatment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus.
• Proficiency in CNC programming, manual machining, and grinding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and maintain tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures.
• Read, interpret, and analyze blueprints, CAD drawings, sketches, and engineering specifications.
• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other precision equipment.
• Inspect, test, and verify completed tools and dies to ensure quality and tolerances.
• Modify, repair, and troubleshoot existing dies and tooling to improve performance.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration on tools, dies, and fixtures.
• Safely handle large dies using appropriate lifting equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production personnel to design tooling solutions.
• Maintain records of tool maintenance, modifications, and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
