Baker Hughes is seeking a Tool & Die Maker to fabricate, modify, and repair tooling in a hands-on manufacturing environment in Liberty, MO. You will read technical drawings, plan layouts, set up machines, and verify parts to ensure quality and safety across production lines.

You should have a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years with a tool room certificate or 5+ years without, and knowledge of lathes, mills, CNC programs, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certificate in CIMM or related industrial technology preferred.
• 3+ years of tool room experience with a related technical certificate.
• 5+ years of tool room experience without a related technical certificate.
• Experience fabricating, modifying, and repairing tooling in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Comfort with machine shop equipment including lathes, mills, and CNC programming.

Responsibilities

• Determine materials and machines needed to fabricate parts per specifications.
• Plan layouts and assembly methods for fabrication activities.
• Measure, mark, and scribe metal stock for machining.
• Set up and operate required machines to fabricate components.
• Verify parts conform to specifications and quality standards.
• Develop prototype parts and tooling solutions as needed.
• Record tooling modifications and maintain tooling history documentation.
• Polish and refinish parts as required.
• Comply with productivity, quality, and safety requirements.
• Operate forklifts when required.
