Precision Metal Works in Louisville, KY is seeking a Tooling & Die Maker to build, repair, and maintain tooling and fixtures to safety, quality, and production standards. The role requires reading blueprints, operating shop tools, and troubleshooting die/mold issues.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 2 years technical training, and at least 3 years of tool & die experience, with MIG/TIG welding and strong mechanical aptitude.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; 2 years technical or trade school with an emphasis on tool making preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a tool & die maker preferred.
• Independent and organized work style with the ability to manage time and multiple tasks.
• Must be able to run all manual machines, troubleshoot tools, and weld (MIG and TIG).
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet aggressive deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Read blueprints, work orders, sketches, or instructions for tooling tasks.
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, etc.
• Disassemble and troubleshoot die and mold quality issues.
• Adjust tooling to produce different parts and ensure proper fits.
• Maintain safety and keep work area clean and orderly.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules for tooling.
