Job summary

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is seeking an Assembler for the 2nd shift at our Jackson, MS facility. Core hours are 3:30pm–12am, Monday–Friday.

The position offers an hourly rate of $20.05 plus a $1 shift differential per hour, with salary guidelines based on skills and experience. Responsibilities include assembling rotor/shaft components, nameplates, and lock wiring per specifications, plus quality documentation, inspections, and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years general manufacturing or military experience required.
• Linked to export-controlled information: must be a U.S. person.
• No relocation benefits; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Jackson, MS facility.
• Preferred: hydraulic systems experience in aviation or military settings.
• Ability to read and follow quality procedures; follow documented process plans and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble rotor/shaft components per work orders and lean line operations.
• Create, produce, and attach nameplates per case history and Sales Order Addendum.
• Lock wire units and verify torque per customer specs and prints.
• Visually inspect and complete final unit pre-shipment operations (shafts, O-rings, caps, plugs).
• Mask parts and apply paint per blueprints and customer specs.
• Complete quality and customer reports; maintain required documentation.
• Conduct self-inspection and verify assembly/test documentation.
• Maintain clean, orderly work area and follow safety standards.
• Read inspection ledgers, check sheets, and move tickets to comply with Quality Systems.
