Job summary

Eaton in Jackson, MS is seeking a CNC Machinist for 2nd shift (hours 3:30pm–12am, Mon–Fri). The role involves operating CNC and manual machines, inspecting parts, and reading blueprints to maintain tight tolerances. The starting hourly rate is $29.12 with a $1 shift differential; salary may vary by skills and experience.

The position requires high school diploma or GED, plus machining certificate or associate degree, or 2 years machining experience. U.S.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Machining certificate or Associate's degree in a technical field, OR a minimum of two (2) years of experience in machining.
CNC experience with lathes, mills, grinders, manual hone, or lap.
No relocation benefit; reside within 50 miles of Jackson, MS.

Responsibilities

Rotate through lean cell functions and other lean cells.
Inspect parts using functional measuring equipment.
Apply SPC and other problem-solving methodologies to ensure quality.
Interpret and work from complex drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Set up and operate CNC and manual machines and finishers with proper tolerances.
Return tools to proper location and clean the work area.
Perform sub-assembly operations such as installation of pins, plugs, inserts, bearings, and other components.
