Job summary

MetalStorm Inc is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join our shop floor. Use MIG welding on structural steel, finish parts per print, and read customer drawings to ensure precision. This role requires measuring with tape and caliper, following instructions in a fast-paced environment, and collaborating with teammates to meet schedules.

Experience with blueprint reading is encouraged; welding certification preferred. Must lift up to 50 pounds and wear PPE.

Qualifications

• Must have welding/fabricating experience.
• At least 1 year of blueprint reading.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Weld structural steel using MIG.
• Finish parts per spec on print or lead's instruction.
• Read and interpret customer drawings.
• Produce quality parts with precision to specifications.
• Review traveler/prints to determine fabrication/welding needs.
• Read blueprints, use tape measure and caliper.
• Double check parts to spec before and after fabrication.
• Follow directions in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
• Communicate clearly with team and maintain attention to detail.
