Job summary

Englobal is seeking a Structural Fitter in Houston, TX to fit and assemble structural framework using angle iron, I-beams and related steel components within our fabrication shop. This on-site, full-time role requires precise layout and alignment per blueprints and safety standards.

Responsibilities include operating torches, maintaining quality, and supporting inventory and cleaning tasks. A reliable team member with strong safety awareness will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in structural fitting within a fabrication environment.
• Must be able to pass a structural fitter test (45 degree cut out I Beam with torch).
• Knowledge of AWS D1.5 fitting tolerances.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align and fit together fabricated parts of structural metal products according to blueprint and layout specifications
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating effectively with customers, coworkers, clients and supervisors
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor, including cleaning and production tasks
• Identify potential hazards and make necessary corrections
