Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of structural fitting or related fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Experience fitting structural steel and understanding dimensions.
• Basic welding and tack-welding experience.
• Experience using torches for cutting and beveling.
• Ability to use measuring and layout tools.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and follow safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work instructions.
• Measure, lay out, cut, and prepare structural steel materials.
• Fit and align structural components according to specifications.
• Tack weld components as needed.
• Use measuring and layout tools to verify dimensions and alignment.
• Operate torches and fabrication equipment safely.
• Perform grinding, beveling, and other preparation work.
• Use hand and power tools safely.
• Complete required production and inspection documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Work closely with welders, supervisors, and other production team members.
