Job summary

Career is seeking a precise Solder Technician for the Garland, TX PCBA team. You will perform hand soldering, rework, and touch-up on SMT and through-hole components, ensuring boards meet IPC standards before final inspection.

Shifts available: 1st or 2nd, with pay range $19-$23/hr based on experience. Candidates must be US authorized to work without sponsorship and pass background and drug tests. We value precision and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with hand soldering and PCBA rework.
IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Hand Soldering: Perform high-quality hand soldering of through-hole components, wires, terminals, and complex surface-mount devices under a microscope.
Rework & Touch-up: Remove and replace components, prepare pads, and rework using soldering irons and hot-air stations.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, BOM, and customer routing instructions.
Process Compliance: Ensure soldering meets IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards (leaded and RoHS).
Self-Inspection: Visually inspect work for solder quality and avoid bridges or cold joints.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain soldering equipment and keep workstation clean (5S).
Documentation: Sign off traveler docs and update ERP/MRP for traceability.
