Job summary

Acorn Assembly LLC in Racine, Wisconsin is seeking a hands-on SMT hand soldering technician to set up, operate, and monitor surface mount equipment including pick-and-place, screener, oven and AOI. You will load programs, follow prints, and ensure assemblies meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in SMT operations and soldering
• Ability to read and interpret safety, operating, and maintenance manuals
• Strong leadership qualities
• Knowledge of safety procedures including ESD and basic computer knowledge
• Ability to perform basic math for measurements

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and shut down SMT equipment (pick and place, screener, oven, AOI)
• Follow prints and instructions; monitor work orders and adjust as needed
• Select feeders and equipment; load programs and modifications
• Position and secure boards in fixtures; verify conformance to specs
• Perform quality soldering work and maintain organization; may work extended hours and lift up to 35 lbs
