Job summary

Winpak is seeking a Slitter Operator to produce slit rolls per customer specs, ensuring top quality while maintaining a safe, productive work environment. You will read shop orders, set up the machine efficiently, and monitor for defects, with emphasis on scrap reduction and reliable production.

Responsibilities include inspecting both product and equipment, collaborating with teammates, reporting hazards, preparing for shifts, and maintaining accurate production records.

• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Basic computer aptitude/skills.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand shop orders and spec sheets.
• Set up the machine efficiently to minimize scrap and downtime.
• Operate safely and model safe work practices.
• Visually inspect products for defects and splice-outs.
• Inspect machinery for maintenance-related issues.
