Job summary

METAL CRAFT, located in Elk River, MN, is seeking a Shipping Clerk to join a precision machining team. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day shipping tasks, verify shipments, and coordinate with vendors while upholding quality and accuracy in every package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or equivalent and one-year of related office or shipping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify item counts and weights against packing slips, POs, invoices, or orders.
• Affix shipping labels and prepare containers for shipment.
• Process purchase orders to vendors and coordinate with suppliers on issues.
• Calculate shipping charges and prepare postage for carriers.
• Inspect incoming/outgoing shipments and address damages or shortages with shippers.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and prepare certification packets and packing slips.
