Job summary

Boon Edam, a global leader in premium entry solutions, seeks an experienced CNC operator to set up and run laser and press brake forming operations. You will read blueprints, adjust programs, and ensure parts meet engineering specs while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will work with a team to meet production schedules, document time/material usage, and help train less-experienced colleagues. This on-site role offers overtime opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associates a plus.
• 3–5 years of CNC laser and press brake setup/operation experience.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, protractors.
• Team-oriented with clear English communication and strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Physically able to lift at least 30 lbs.
• Understanding of workholding, tooling, and safe machining practices.
• Self-motivated multitasker with basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run complex sheet metal forming operations; make minor CNC edits.
• Produce parts to spec and deliver them to the next process step.
• Follow safety policies and maintain housekeeping and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain accurate inventories and material handling safety.
• Record time and material usage for production reporting.
• Train less-experienced employees and cross-train across operations.
• Prepare and stage products for internal customers.

Your Impact

You will set up and run complex sheet metal forming operations - making minor CNC program edits and offsets on laser and press brake equipment to produce parts to spec and deliver them cleanly to the next step in our process.

Core Responsibilities

• Safety & Standards: Practice safe work habits and follow all safety policies and guidelines.
• Materials & Inventory: Maintain accurate inventories of sheet stock and parts using established controls; handle material and operate handling equipment safely.
• Precision Fabrication: Execute complex setups; recall/edit programs; set offsets; and perform cutting, bending, punching, drilling, and deburring per engineering drawings and specifications.
• Production Excellence: Organize work to meet the production schedule and deliver on time.
• Quality Assurance: Perform and document inspections and testing as required.
• Team & Training: Cross-train across operations and help train less-experienced employees.
• Handoff & Flow: Prepare and stage products for the next internal customer.
• Care of Equipment: Maintain housekeeping, safety checks, and user-level maintenance.
• Data Integrity: Accurately record time and material usage for production reporting.

What You'll Need

• Deep understanding of workholding, tooling, and safe machining practices
• Self-motivated multitasker with basic computer skills and Windows navigation ability

Shifts

• 1st Shift- Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm
• 2nd Shift- Monday- Thursday 4:20pm-2:50am
