Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a Sheet Metal Laser Operator to setup, operate, and maintain laser cutting machines, read blueprints, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. You will load Timesaver, deburr parts, and perform precision tasks using Mill and waterjet tools.

The role requires a high school diploma, numeracy skills, SAP familiarity, and the ability to multitask in a high-paced environment. Overtime flexibility and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Numeracy skills for calculating countersink depths and material thickness.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints/engineered drawings.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Lean manufacturing understanding.
• Must be able to multitask and work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints from designers and engineers.
• Load and operate the Timesaver laser cutter.
• Deburr parts with hand tools.
• Operate the waterjet abrasive removal tool.
• Hand tap sheet metal with a mandrel tapper.
• Operate a Bridgeport manual mill to countersink sheet metal.
• Maintain raw materials and manage storage and cycle counts.
• Move sheet metal using a vacuum lift/overhead crane; forklift certification helpful.
• Record labor estimates in production orders; ensure SAP tagging and staging.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery and 5S housekeeping.
