Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a 2nd shift manufacturing operator in Elkhart, Indiana. The role involves operating and maintaining machinery, reading shop drawings, and setting up equipment for production while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include loading programs, troubleshooting, maintaining materials traceability, and performing lean housekeeping. Candidates should have 3–5 years in manufacturing and the ability to work with team members to meet production

Qualifications

• Three to five years in fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints/shop drawings.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32".
• Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes (if location requires).
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate/maintain equipment per shift requirements and safety absolutes.
• Load programs and process material per shop drawings.
• Troubleshoot operating issues and ensure quality, on-time output.
• Perform light machine maintenance and setup of equipment.
• Utilize lean, 5S and housekeeping practices.
