Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of production equipment.
• Ability to portion all seafood accurately and timely.
• Ability to reduce processing costs by cutting and sizing portions accurately while meeting customer specs.
• Ability to problem solve in terms of trimming and product substitutions.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment
• Must be a team player and possess a positive attitude.
• Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, in English.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, trims, slices, debones, and portions seafood per order.
• Inspects and removes defects from product.
• Reads and follows customer instructions.
• Performs quality control checks and reports defects.
• Weights product and tags containers.
• Uses knives, cleavers, or other equipment to trim.
• Maintains cleanliness and hygiene of work area.
• Works with supervisors to schedule production.
• Maintains QA, HACCP, SQF, and safety compliance.
