Job summary

Greer Stop Nut in Nashville, TN seeks an experienced Manual Machinist Setup Technician for 1st shift. You will operate and set up Swiss-style screw machines, read blueprints, and adjust offsets to meet tolerances while performing in-process inspections.

Responsibilities include setting up fixtures and cutting tools, running multiple machines, and maintaining quality. Overtime opportunities and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating and setting up Swiss-style screw machine equipment or similar metal-machining devices.
• Ability to set/adjust offsets and cams/gears.
• Ability to load and secure fixtures with minimal assistance.
• Basic shop math including geometry and tolerances.
• Ability to read prints and apply dimensional specs to inspection.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines to manufacture parts to specifications.
• Use blueprints and schematics to determine operation sequence.
• Set up fixtures and cutting tools for production.
• Monitor and adjust machine offsets to maintain quality.
• Perform in-process inspections and document results.
• Execute first article and buyoff.
• Run multiple machines concurrently (primary and secondary).
• Adhere to safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
